Does this class touch on any birthing information or focus on any maternal peripartum care?
No, this course focuses solely on the newborn after they are born. The course does include information on the care of the newborn in the hospital.
This isn’t my first rodeo, I have other kids. Can I still take this course?
Absolutely, Parent Prep Academy welcomes any caregivers at any point in the parenting journey.
If my children are older but I would like a CPR course or have my car seat class can I utilize you?
Absolutely, I can easily perform a child CPR course for you and your partner. I can also check all car seats or booster seats for your children and provide education.
My baby was just born, can I take this course? I have questions specifically about my newborn now, can you answer these?
Absolutely, Parent Prep Academy welcomes any caregivers at any point in the parenting journey. Please arrange for childcare to ensure the course can be completed.
I can provide general information about newborn care, if you have specific questions pertaining to your newborn then you must consult your pediatrician.
I took your course and just brought my baby home, can we set up an appointment I have further questions?
Unfortunately you must refer to you to your pediatrician for questions.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Parent Prep Academy accepts Zell, cash, check, and credit card. If choosing to pay with a credit card there will be an additional 2.6% processing fee.
We are adopting or I have a surrogate, can I still take this course?
Absolutely, Parent Prep Academy welcomes and encourages all different types of caregivers and families.
My partner and I are of the LGBTQ+ community, would this be a good fit for us?

I want to do the CPR course and the car seat safety check but don’t want the newborn essentials portion, can I do this?
Absolutely, you can pick and choose what you want for your learning needs.
Can my nanny or the baby’s grandparents, extended family come to the course because they will be caring for the child?
Absolutely, there are additional charges for additional caregivers. All classes include 2 primary caregivers. If there are going to be additional caregivers or car seats there will be additional charges, please look at the services page.
My family and I don’t speak English, can you still teach the course?
Unfortunately the course can only be taught in English at this time
I want to take this course but would prefer to do it online given I don’t live in CO, I don’t live in Denver, or I don’t like the in person format?
Totally fine, we can easily do a Zoom meeting to discuss the information. There will be parts that are missed like the hands-on CPR practice on the mannequin and the car seat safety check but we can cover information verbally; however, I do think the in person practice and car seat check are very important to the program.
